Roewe M7 announced in China

SAIC Group has unveiled its next production car, a full-size sedan called the Roewe M7.

The M7 is advertised as the first vehicle penned for the Chinese automaker by Jozef Kabaň, ex-BMW and Volkswagen designer now employed at SAIC Design. It is 4,940 mm (193 inches) long and packs a range-extender hybrid powertrain called the DMH. It comprises a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine good for 111 PS (109 hp / 82 kW) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque and an electric motor actually driving the wheels with 186 PS (183 hp / 137 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft).

The premiere is slated for this summer.
