Chery Fulwin T11 gets ready for launch

The first technical specifications of Chery’s upcoming Fulwin T11 SUV have been uploaded to the Ministry of Industry database. It seems to be the company’s largest crossover vehicle so far and a direct competitor to the Lixiang L9.

The launch date is still pending, so let’s take a look at the car proper. It’s sized 5,205 x 1,998 x 1,800 millimeters with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. This makes it the largest SUV from both Fulwin and Chery, as well as all of Chery Automobile Co. Ltd sub-brands. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that it rides on 21-inch wheels as standard.

The powertrain is range-extender hybrid and relies on a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) to provide power to the electric motors. It’s unknown how many motors there are and what their characteristics are, but it would be logical to get at least one per axle. Given the declared curb weight range of 2,452–2,635 kilograms, it’s likely to come with multiple battery size options.

The original Fulwin T11 Concept debuted in September 2023. A pre-production vehicle followed roughly a year after, featuring a six-seat cabin with a 30-inch dash display. Back then, Chery said the SUV would have around 200 km (124 miles) of all-electric range and up to 1,400 km (870 miles) with the gas tank filled to the max. Of course, these numbers were preliminary and liable to change over the past year.
