2026 Geely Boyue/Cityray gears up for launch in China

Geely has posted some photos of its facelifted Boyue SUV a.k.a. Cityray. It sports a revised front fascia and a tweaked cabin, but the oily bits seem to stay stock. AutoHome.cn believes it will debut properly in August.

As you can see, the new crossover looks much more conservative compared to the old version. It resembles the larger Geely Atlas and features a novel radiator grille with vertical bars allegedly inspired by one of China’s historical bridges.

A slim LED stripe connecting the headlights measures more than 2 meters (78 inches) long, which the company claims considerably improves the quality of road illumination. The front bumper also appears tweaked a little bit.

As for the cabin, it was redone to suit the taste of the modern Chinese customer. The dashboard and the transmission tunnel were redesigned for a simpler, cleaner look focused on function. The transmission selector was reworked as well, and a horizontal display appeared in the middle where a vertical touchscreen used to be. The steering wheel was left as is, as far as we can judge.

Rumor has it the 2026 Geely Boyue/Cityray will continue to ship in China with a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated at 181 PS (179 hp / 133 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive system should also stay largely unchanged.
