Nissan patents a mystery saloon

Images submitted to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database suggest that Nissan is working on a new four-door passenger car never shown before.

The patent application was apparently filed in China in September 2024, but never discovered until now. Overall, the car in it looks similar to the all-electric N7 Concept (see video). However, different body proportions and a longer front overhang indicate that it’s an independent design. Furthermore, the long front makes us think that it could be gas-powered instead of electric.

If we had to guess, we’d say it’s most likely the next generation of the Nissan Sentra, which was confirmed in development not long ago.
