The regular Aston Martin Vanquish is a formidable supercar as it is with 835 PS (824 hp / 614 kW) at its disposal and a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of 3.3 seconds. Even so, the British automaker reckoned it could use a further boost.
The images seen here come from Carscoops and depict the pre-production coupe lapping the Nürburgring in Germany. That publication believes that it may wind up with more than 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW) under the hood and a different suspension setup, like the DB12 S did before it. As such, it may well debut with the suffix “S” to its name.
It also looks like a new flagship version based on the body kit. There’s a sharp front splitter, a revised rear diffuser and a fine mesh where the rear bumper usually is. More perplexingly, the test vehicle has whopping eight tailpipes, surpassing the quad exhaust tips of the stock car. We suppose the rear end is still a work in progress, though, and some of the elements seen here will eventually be removed or otherwise regrouped for a more coherent look.
In any case, the new Vanquish should go on sale in late 2026 or early 2027. When it does, it will primarily have to stave off competition from the likes of Lamborghini Revuelto and Ferrari 12Cilindri.
