Sky Nomad sheds light on its two all-new hybrids

Sky Nomad, a car sub-brand created by Xiaomi for “young and forward-minded families”, has posted the main specifications of its two upcoming production SUVs, the N70 and the N90.

The N90 is shaping up to be a full-size SUV at 5,285 mm (208.1 inches) long with 3,080 mm (121.3 inches) between the axles. The N70 looks almost completely identical to it on the outside, but is smaller at 4,960 mm (195.3 inches) with 2,950 mm (116.1 inches) of wheelbase.

Unlike Xiaomi’s existing SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV, both of which are fully electric, the Sky Nomad duo are hybrids by design. Both utilize the same 1.5-liter engine rated at 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and either one or two e-motors. The RWD variant sends 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) to the wheels, while the AWD spec manages 421 PS (415 hp / 310 kW) combined.

It looks like the N90 will only be obtainable in the AWD version, although new versions may get added later. For the battery, Xiaomi offers a 52-kWh base pack rated at 270 kilometers (164 miles) of all-electric range and a superior 76-kWh NMC pack capable of 505 kilometers (313 miles), manufacturer-rated.

All trim and equipment details remain to be revealed. We do know that the N70 is a two-row five-seater by design, while the N90 is a three-row seven-seater. This doesn’t mean that other layouts won’t be announced during the premiere, which is scheduled for the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21, 2026.
