2026 ID. Unyx 06 photos crop up online

Volkswagen Anhui, a carmaker founded in China between Volkswagen AG and Xpeng, is working on updating its first production vehicle, the ID. Unyx 06. Based on these images courtesy of AutoHome.cn, buyers may look forward to a considerably improved interior in the same exterior wrap.

The company has obviously put a lot of effort into redesigning what used to be a rather cluttered interior into a clean, minimalistic and calm cabin space. The dashboard now houses three displays – a 10.25-inch gauge cluster, a 15-inch infotainment system screen and a 10-inch front passenger display that wasn’t there before the facelift. Improved seats with integrated headrests now come included as standard, as do a new steering wheel and a more intuitive infotainment UI.

Some changes have taken place in the powertrain department as well, although we still don’t have all the details. The cheapest ID. Unyx 06 available will get a motor rated at 350 Newton-meters (258 pound-feet) of torque instead of the former 310 Nm (229 lb-ft). The power stays unchanged at 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW).

A bigger battery pack will also let the SUV cover 528 km (328 miles) per charge, CLTC-rated. That’s a 102-kilometer (63-mile) improvement over the old version. All details about the higher specs remain to be revealed.

The current Volkswagen ID. Unyx 06 can be purchased in China starting from around 189,900 Yuan ($27,885). The facelifted SUV is liable to cost more than that.
