U.S. tuner facelifts the old Cullinan because Rolls-Royce won’t

Imagine paying for the opulent Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series I only to see Series II debut in several months. For the wealthy among us, no longer staying in the lead can be a frustrating experience. Understandably, Californian tuning shop Stars In The Ceiling decided to help those seeking to refresh their ultra-luxury crossover without paying the full price again.

The company takes delivery of a pre-facelift Cullinan and then comprehensively modifies it to be nearly indistinguishable from the facelifted version. This involves redesigning both bumpers, replacing the radiator grille and the headlights, and even modifying the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. Not willing to stop at these superficial changes, the tuner also replaces the exhaust tips, some internal brackets, air covers in the radiator at the front, and other relevant components.

Those who want it may even request a visual upgrade to the Black Badge spec. However, while the genuine Black Badge sends 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) to the wheels with 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, the stylized Cullinan Series I sits at its usual 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft).

All prices are private. Stars In The Ceiling claims it has already delivered two such Royces to clients, and hopes to deliver another seven or eight before the end of June.

In case you need a reminder, the original Rolls-Royce Cullinan debuted in 2018. The Series II facelift saw the daylight six years later, in 2024. As far as we are aware, the British automaker has no official upgrade program for the Series I on offer.
