Range Rover Sport Electric Unveiled

The all-new Range Rover Sport Electric has been unveiled, following the full-size Range Rover Electric. The new model is built on an updated version of the company’s Modular Longitudinal Architecture Flex (MLA-Flex) and incorporates an 800-volt electric system.

The vehicle is powered by a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is stated to provide a driving range of up to 373 miles (600 km). A pair of electric motors delivers 542 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. With Dynamic Launch Control active, the EV can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. DC fast charging at up to 350 kW allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes.

The Range Rover Sport Electric maintains off-roading capabilities, featuring an Intelligent Traction Management system, Dynamic Air Suspension, and Active Roll Control. It also includes twin valve dampers and an adaptive dynamics system. The vehicle can wade through up to 35.4 inches (900 mm) of water and handle 45-degree inclines. The body structure is 61 percent stiffer compared to a current plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport, and the center of gravity is 2.8 inches (73 mm) lower.

Visually, the EV is similar to combustion-powered versions, with differences including a more aerodynamic grille design and unique alloy wheels. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in select markets in the first quarter of 2027.
