The Morgan Midsummer roadster that debuted in 2024 was apparently a success among its target audience, because the British automaker has now announced a fixed-roof variant of it.
While the original lacked side windows of any kind, the Midsummer Coupe features a full greenhouse complete with a panoramic glass roof. The top looks like it will burn everything inside the car to a crisp given the slightest hint of sunny summer weather, but Morgan assures us the provided air conditioner is enough to offset this. Designed by none other than Pininfarina, this is a car that puts its greatest emphasis on the looks, after all.
The power for the wheels is provided by the same old 3.0-liter inline-six sourced from a BMW shelf. It works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic and churns out 402 PS (397 hp / 296 kW).
The interior is trimmed with fine leather and has natural wood and aluminum inserts. Although the style screams “retro”, reports claim that the base vehicle – Morgan Plus Six – feels quite modern in terms of powertrain, suspension and handling.
All prices are private, but it probably doesn’t matter because all nine units scheduled for production had been sold before the official announcement came in.
