Tank 300 spied testing in China

According to AutoHome.cn, a long-wheelbase variant of the popular Chinese off-roader known as the Tank 300 is almost ready for debut. A spy photographer has managed to track down a parked example and get a snapshot of its redesigned interior.

On the outside, the stretched Tank 300 sports a new radiator grille with larger “TNAK” lettering in the middle and reshaped bumpers at both ends. The cabin shots reveal a three-spoke steering wheel and a new, more convenient-looking transmission tunnel layout. The infotainment display seems to have stayed the same.

Per the previously published certification data, the Tank 300 L will measure 4,886 x 1,984 x 1,927 millimeters with 3,010 millimeters of wheelbase. That’s whopping 257 mm (10.1 inches) of extra wheelbase compared to the standard version.

The engine options are likewise already known. At launch, the long-wheelbase Tank 300 will rely on a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW). It will work in tandem with a nine-speed automatic transmission and an electric motor. There will be two AWD configurations to choose between and two battery sizes, the bigger one rated for 200 kilometers (124 miles) of all-electric range.

Non-electrified options will be made available later as well, one rated at 238 PS (235 hp / 175 kW) and the other one at 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW).

Sales in China will start on Monday, July 6, 2026.
